“Are you struggling to come up with an idea for your kid’s birthday party, again because, let’s be honest, didn’t the just have one? It seems like the time of year for parties comes around more than just how often it takes for our planet earth to rotate around that giant nearby star, but it’s not true, it just seems that way. So if you’re having a hard time coming up with something that can make this year’s festivities way cooler than ever before, here are some great ideas about how to spruce up the party and give everyone – in particularly your child – the best birthday party ever.
Everyone and their mother (and sometimes their fathers) is obsessed with television singing competitions. It’s insane how popular they still are after all these years and the popularity seems only to be gaining instead of waning. Some day perhaps we can return to quality programming again, but until then, it might be fun to have a competition modeled after The Voice or some such program at your child’s party. Perhaps don’t make it just who has the best voice, but incorporate creativity of costume and other things that might let those who can’t actually sing have a chance at winning and having fun. Remember it’s supposed to be about fun, and it sure can be if done right.
2. Make Puppets or Sock Monkeys
There’s always the stand by of doing some arts and crafts, but you don’t want to just do any old arts and crafts project. Come up with a fun activity that is not only new and different for the gang, but also can give a fun toy as a result. The best example I can think of is to make Sock Monkeys, a fantastic toy that requires only a pair of socks for each kid, and then you can make what turns out to be a hilarious toy, or a puppet, that they can have for ever, or at least until they head to college or reach maturity. A sock monkey is super fun to make and play with, and there are plenty of patterns online. Make some sock monkeys for your next birthday party activity!
3. Wild n Crazy Arts n Crafts
Along the same idea, you can take a good idea, like arts ’n’ crafts, and go crazy with it. What we mean is that you can get a bunch of tools and materials that maybe the kids have never used before, like a grommet machine or a glue gun, or wire crimpers or all sorts of materials like. The idea is to inspire creativity and new projects and ideas that they’ve never come up with before simply because they’ve never had the tools at their disposal. These, and other cool arts and crafts tools can be had for cheap at our website and you may be surprised what fun ideas come up!
